Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. We want to make your experience on the Internet as enjoyable and rewarding as possible, and we want you to use the Internet's vast array of information, tools, and opportunities with complete confidence.

We have created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and security. This Privacy Policy describes how Westbourne International, Inc. ("Westbourne") collects information from all users of Westbourne's Web site. This Privacy Policy also describes what we do with the information we collect, and the choices our users have concerning the collection and use of such information. Westbourne requests that you read this Privacy Policy carefully.

Information You Provide To Us

We collect personally identifiable information from you when you voluntarily submit it. Providing your personally identifiable information to Westbourne is optional for using Westbourne's Web site. If you choose not to register or provide your personal information, you can still visit this site. However, you won’t have access to functionality or areas that require personal identification, such as posting on message boards.

Westbourne collects this information to enhance our ability to provide our users with customized content and services, for administrative purposes, for tracking/verifying compliance with Westbourne policies as well as applicable laws, and for editorial and feedback solicitation purposes.

If you don’t want Westbourne, our partners, or selected third parties to contact you, you may opt out when you provide personal information, or contact us directly to let us know. For instructions on how to do so, please see the Contact Us section below. In case you change your mind or some of your personal information changes (such as your phone number or zip code), we provide you ways to correct, update or remove the personal data you give us.

What Information We Collect

Depending on the particular Westbourne service you are using, we may ask that you provide, and allow us to collect, personally identifying information about you. Generally, such information consists of your name and email address. Occasionally, we may ask for more specific information, or demographic information to allow you to participate in our services, surveys, contests, or other promotions.

We also collect anonymous data, which does not personally identify you, related to your access and use of our sites, and the pages you visit. We may aggregate such data to provide us with information that is useful to our advertisers and partners in more effectively advertising on and supporting our sites.

How We Use the Information You Give Us

We use the personal information you provide us to tailor the content, services and advertising on our web sites to your current and future needs. For the same reason, we may share the personal information you provide to us with third parties who are affiliated with our sites, or who provide services to our sites.

If you provide us with your mailing address or telephone number, we and our partners may use this information to conduct surveys or to alert you to product upgrades, special offers, updated information, and new services. If you provide your e-mail address, we may contact you via e-mail as well.

In addition, in connection with an assignment, sale, joint venture or other transfer or disposition of some or all of the assets of Westbourne you agree that we can accordingly assign, sell, license or transfer any information, including personally identifying information, that you have provided to us to third parties as part of such transfer or disposition.

Westbourne may disclose any information, including personally identifying information, in special cases when we have reason to believe that doing so is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) Westbourne’s rights or property, other Westbourne users, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities. Westbourne may disclose any such information when we believe in good faith that the law requires us to do so.

Cookies

The use of cookies is common in the Internet industry; you may find them used on our web sites, as you will at other major sites. "Cookies" are small text files that are written to your computer. They make our web sites easier for you to use because they save your preferences while you're at our sites (although we do not save passwords in cookies). Cookies also help us to know which areas are favorites, which need a bit of improvement, and what technologies and Internet services our visitors and members are using. Knowing this information helps us to continually improve the online experience for our users.

The non-personally identifying information that we track with cookies is anonymous and is not used to identify, or lead us back to, any particular visitor. Visitors to our sites may have the option of disabling cookies via their browser preferences (most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies). However, some features of our Web site won’t function properly or may be considerably slower if you refuse cookies.

IP Addresses

An IP address is a number that's automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're using the World Wide Web. Web servers -- the big computers that "serve up" web pages -- automatically identify your computer by its IP address.

Westbourne collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, to report aggregate information to our advertisers, sponsors and partners, and to audit the use of our site. When visitors request pages from Westbourne's site, our servers log the guests' IP addresses. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that a visitor's session will be logged, but the visitor remains anonymous to us. We can and will use IP addresses to identify a visitor when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our rules or terms of service or to protect our service, site, customers or others.

Links to Other Sites

You’ll find links from Westbourne sites to independently own, controlled and/or managed web sites whose content we believe will be of possible interest and value to our visitors. Additionally, you’ll see links from advertisers, sponsors and other partners that may use Westbourne’s logo as part of a co-branding agreement.

These links may represent cooperative projects or mutual links established with the organizations connected with these sites. We don’t control the content of these links. For example: if you "click" on a search result or banner advertisement, that "click" takes you off the Westbourne site. These other sites may send their own cookies to you, collect data or solicit personal information. While we identify sponsor and advertiser areas of our web sites, we do not control these cookies or the content of these third parties.

Once you leave our servers (you can generally tell where you are by checking the URL in the location bar on your browser), the use of any information you provide is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the site you're visiting. That policy may differ from ours. If you can't find the privacy policy of any of these sites via a link from the site's homepage, you should contact the site directly for more information.

Security

The security for your personally identifiable information is very important to us. We have systems in place to assist us in providing secure transmission of your information from your PC to our servers, and secure storage of the information once it is on our servers. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be secure, and every system that allows online access is potentially vulnerable to outside attacks from unauthorized third parties. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Westbourne can't and doesn’t guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so entirely at your own risk.

In some cases we password-protect certain types of accounts to help ensure that only authorized members are permitted to access them or view the member information relevant to the account. As stated above, while we do have security features in place on our systems, we cannot and do not guarantee or warrant the security of such password-protected accounts. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Westbourne does not ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or email. Ultimately, you are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and any account information.

Remember to sign out of your Westbourne password-protected account and close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if your computer is accessible to others. or if you share a computer with someone else, or are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet café.

Westbourne’s policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, and therefore beyond Westbourne’s control, and is not to be applied in any manner contrary to applicable law or governmental regulation.

Policies for Persons Under Age 18

The Westbourne sites are designed to be used by persons age 18 or older. If you are younger than age 18, you are still permitted to use our services, but we ask you to not submit or post any information, including without limitation, personally identifying information on the Westbourne site.

Choice/Opt-Out/Update

You may notify us when you change your address, title, phone number, or e-mail address. Please include your old and new contact information so that we can make the appropriate corrections.

Information provided by you at the time of registration or submission may be used for marketing and promotional purposes by Westbourne and our third party business partners. However, you can request not to receive communications from us about new features or services. You can also ask not to receive communications from third-party companies that offer a product or service that we think would be of value to you. If you object to such use for any reason, you can e-mail your request to info@westb.com .
